The Inner Core Transit Feasibility Study, which includes the Belt Line
and the C-Loop, is seeking public input on alternatives for connecting
Atlanta's intown neighborhoods. The locally preferred alternative
chosen at the end of the study will be eligible for federal "New
Starts" funding.
Available for download at right is a report intended to provide an overview
of the Atlanta Inner Core Transit Feasibility Study process to date and
to summarize the case for additional transit investment in the Inner Core.
Amajor requirement of the Federal Transit Administration (FTA) for transit
projects seeking funding is to firmly establish needs that will be effectively
addressed by the transit proposal. This report summarizes the need and
describes the process followed to develop the statement of purpose and
need.
