Stable 1897 was conceived in 1997 as a building for artists in need of working and/or living studios. The Artists Studio Program occupies 8,000 square feet on the second floor, upstairs from the exhibition spaces. In late 2003, Stable 1897 launched Garage Projects in response to the crisis in availability of dynamic and affordable exhibition spaces in Atlanta. Located in Castleberry Hill.
