Economic Development Incentives There are many financial incentives available to workplaces and developers in Downtown Atlanta. Business Services Downtown Atlanta has a strong critical mass of businesses and office workers, which allows for the availability of countless business services. Daycare in Downtown: There are more than 25 daycare organizations in Downtown Atlanta (Link to Downtown Daycare Facilities) Restaurants: With more than 150 restaurants downtown, it’s easy to find a good place for a quick snack, an important business lunch, or an elegant dinner. Office services: Whatever you office needs there is a business in downtown Atlanta that will help you meet them. Many other Organizations eager to help you! The Downtown Ambassador Force: Created by Central Atlanta Progress in 1996, the Ambassador Force of Downtown Atlanta is a full-time private hospitality and public safety force that patrols a 200-block area from North Avenue, south to Martin Luther King, Jr. Drive, and from the Georgia World Congress Center to the Downtown Connector. Atlanta Development Authority: is a public authority created by the City of Atlanta to promote the revitalization and growth of the City through a comprehensive and centralized program focusing on community development and redevelopment. It represents a consolidation of the City's economic and community development efforts in real estate, finance, marketing and employment, for the purpose of providing a focal point for improving Atlanta's neighborhoods and the quality of life for all of its citizens. City of Atlanta Department of Planning: The vision of the Department of Planning and Community Development is to take a leadership role in creating opportunities for our City to continue to grow and sustain our diverse communities that define and give Atlanta its unique character. The Planning Department is your place to file rezoning and building permits. The Atlanta Urban Design Commission is a part of this department Metro Atlanta Chamber of Commerce: The Chamber of Commerce is an independent, non-profit organization with 4,000+ member companies employing more than 700,000 workers throughout the 28-county metro Atlanta region.
